First two phases
Prophase
In prophase after the organelles and the DNA had been replicated in interphase, the cell starts it process of mitosis. In the first phase, the DNA coils forming chromosomes and as they coil they become more visible in the cell.
After that, the nucleus which is the brain of the cell and the nuclear membrane which protects the nucleus start to become less visible.
Next two small structures called centrioles move to opposite ends of the cell and in between the centrioles a threadlike called spindle fibers begin to stretch across the cell.

Metaphase
In the second phase of mitosis is called metaphase. Here the centromeres attach to the spindle fibers.
Then, chromosomes, sister chromatids, line up along the mid line center of the cell.
Also the centrioles are already in position to begin puling each chromatin in the next stage.
